The Wedding
When: Saturday September 16th, 2017, at 3pm
Church: The ceremony was at St. Francis Xavier Catholic church at 46 W 16th Street, near Union Square.
The Non-Quest: Some people were in the know, and learned the secret reception venue before the big day. Some of them went to the Suffolk Arms (269 E Houston St, between Suffolk and Clinton) at 6pm to catch a glimpse of the groups completing the quest.
The Quest: The quest was a points-based, photo snapping game. Each adventuring group was awarded points for each picture/video-taking task at various locations throughout the Lower East Side that got increasingly closer to the reception venue. Groups didn't have forever to complete every task though, they had to make sure to get to the final spot (marked with a * on the instruction sheet) by 6pm! The groups of around five people each were pre-determined. The weather cooperated marvelously on the day, so nobody had to hide indoors at one of the two spots marked with an umbrella. Prizes were awarded to the highest scorers: Tumnus in third, Beans in second (first losers), and Bunnykins in first!
Reception Venue: The cocktail hour started around 6pm with a shot at the Suffolk Arms. Guests were definitely confused and thought that was where the reception was, so people ended up hanging out there for about 45 minutes before we corralled them into the real reception venue down the block: the Angel Orensanz.
Food: The beef was a strip steak. The fish was cod with black miso sauce. The vegetarian dish was moussaka (it's like lasagna with no meat), and we can make it vegan by changing the cheese to vegan cheese. Patrick and Junella were served food but barely touched it.

The Afterparty
When: 1am, immediately following the reception
Where: Drexler's, 9 Avenue A, near Public Hotel
The bride and groom received a cheer when they arrived at 1am. About 20 wedding guests had the stamina to make it to the afterparty. The maid of honour was falling asleep at the table, so Junella took her back to the hotel while Patrick entertained the remaining guests. After an unsuccessful attempt to start a dance party downstairs, the last folks standing went home at 3am. Patrick stayed out until 4am chatting with his oldest friend in the hotel lobby. The day finally ended at 5am.
The Unofficial Farewell Breakfast
When: Sunday September 17th, from 9am-11am
Where: Public Hotel
This was not an official event, we just ate breakfast downstairs at the hotel. A few people stopped by to say hello and goodbye, and it turned out to be one of the more intimate meals all weekend. We had tons of booze left over, it all went to Nick's apartment, where he and his roommates enjoyed it slowly over the course of a year.
